From inside the app
Open Settings → Delete my data. The screen lists exactly what is removed, what is kept without your name and what we hold on to; read it, tap Delete my data, and confirm at the second prompt. Your data is removed from our servers straight away and the app signs you out. Signing in again gives you a new, empty account.
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us. It requires you to be signed in — the app has to know which account to erase.
By request
If you cannot sign in, email xbox@indiesoftware.com.ar with the subject “Data deletion request” and include your gamertag. Requests are handled within 30 days, and remove exactly the same things.
Send it from an address we can reply to. If we cannot match the gamertag to the account that posted the content, we have to ask — and a request we cannot verify is a request we cannot act on, because acting on it would let anyone delete somebody else's posts.
What gets deleted

What stays, without your name
A few things are shared with other people, so removing them would delete someone else's
content rather than yours. Those are kept — with every identifier of yours replaced by
[deleted]:
- A community you created that other members joined. It is not deleted, because that would take everyone else's messages with it. Instead it loses its owner and is closed: the members can still read it, but nobody can post, react or ask to join. It is deleted automatically 30 days after its last message.
- Quotes of your messages inside other people's messages. The quoted text and image are removed, leaving a "message deleted" placeholder in a post that is not yours.
- Moderation records. Reports you filed, or that were filed about you. Deleting these on request would let abuse history be erased by whoever caused it.
- Messages you pinned in a community. The pin stays — it is a decision about that community's content, not about yours, and undoing it would overrule the community's owner. Your name comes off it.
What we keep
- A community block, if your account has been blocked from posting in communities. That record is kept with your Xbox user ID on it. Removing it would mean the block could be cleared by asking for a deletion — and because your Xbox account still exists, the same person could come straight back. This is the one thing a deletion request does not remove, and it applies only to accounts that have actually been blocked. It covers community posting only: it is not a ban from writing game reviews, and it does not touch your Xbox account, which belongs to Microsoft.
What is not ours to delete
- Your Microsoft account, your Xbox profile and your achievements. These belong to Microsoft. Achievements for XBOX only reads them — deleting your data here does not change anything on Xbox.
- Your Xbox messages and captures. Also Microsoft's. The app shows them; it does not keep its own copy on our servers.
- Your Google Play purchase history. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play; we never receive or store purchase records. Manage them in the Play Store.
- Anonymous diagnostics. Crash reports and analytics are not linked to your identity and cannot be traced back to an individual to remove.
Retention
Deletion is immediate once the request is actioned — nothing is archived. Ordinary infrastructure backups may retain copies for up to 30 days before rotating out.
